Class 37 at Lisvane & Thornhill
Class 37 No. 37421 departs Lisvane & Thornhill station with the 07:43 Rhymney to Cardiff Central commuter service. It seems likely now that locomotive-hauled operations on this line will be coming to end in a few weeks' time.

Rail-Head Treatment Train at Lisvane & Thornhill
Class 66 locomotive No. 66025 brings up the rear of the Margam-based rail-head treatment train as it passes Lisvane & Thornhill station, led by classmate No. 66088. The train, which clears the rail-head with a high pressure water jet, was returning from Bargoed.
