Plaque on wall at Cardiff Bus Depot
This photo shows the plaque referring to the opening of the bus depot taking place in September 1986. However, I believe there has been a bus depot on this site in Sloper Road since the 1920s. The other bus depots were in Clare Road (ST1775) and Newport Road (ST2077) although they have long been closed and the latter one since demolished. The wording on the plaque says:
Cardiff Bus
Leckwith Depot
Opened by
JAMES ISAAC C.B.E., F.C.I.T.
President
Bus & Coach Council
24th September 1986
Incidentally, F.C.I.T. stands for Fellow of the Chartered Institute of
Transport, although it is now known as the Chartered Institute of Logistics and
Transport. The CILT is the membership organisation for United Kingdom
professionals involved in the movement of goods and people, and their
associated supply chains.

This photo shows the coat of arms on the side of AEC Swift 512 (MBO 512F) which entered service with City of Cardiff Transport in 1968 but was sold to another bus operator in 1975.
