Packet Hotel - Bute Street
Built in 1864 it has survived all the various redevelopments in the area.

The Packet, Cardiff
The pub at 95 Bute Street was built in 1864 as a hotel mainly for sailors. The name derives from the packet vessels formerly frequenting the nearby docks. One of these is depicted on the name sign. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5422931

Cory's Building, Cardiff Bay
Grade II listed building at the south end of Bute Street, on the corner of Bute Place. It was built in 1889 for the Cory Brothers company, whose business included ship's chandlery, brokerage and the sale and export of coal. The company also owned several collieries in Wales.
