Armenian genocide monument at the Temple of Peace
People pose for photographs beside the stone which is the first public monument in the UK in memory of the Armenian genocide in 1915. Wales has had long-standing supportive links with Armenia. The stone is Welsh, the design is Armenian, the stonemason is Welsh and the inscription is by the hand of a Bishop of the Armenian Apostolic Church. The commemorative words are in Welsh, Armenian and English.
