Altolussi, Cardiff
This is the Bute Terrace side of the 292-apartment building Altolussi, 23 storeys and 72 metres (236 ft) high. When completed in 2005 it was the tallest residential building in Wales.

Old and new
The C19th facade of the Cardiff Gas Light and Coke Co. is dwarfed by the rest of the building of which it now forms the entrance. This is the Altolusso Apartments, which featured in Torchwood Season 1.

Class 37 in Cardiff
Class 37 No. 37421 works what was expected to be the last Class 37-hauled Rhymney valley commuter service, the 07:43 Rhymney to Cardiff Central, towards its destination. However, it seems a reprieve has been given - rumours suggest for the rest of the week - and the same locomotive worked the northbound evening service later in the day.
