Central Square, Cardiff
The area in front of Cardiff Central station is undergoing a transformation. Where there was previously a bus station and several outdated office blocks, new buildings are springing up - the area described as 'A proud new Gateway to the Capital of Wales. A revamped Central Square will reflect Cardiff’s ambition to be amongst Europe’s most successful cities'. In this view One Central Square is on the right, and Two Central Square - still under construction - is on the left. The façade of Central station can be seen between the two buildings.
