There appears to be a public bridleway up as far as the old windmill premises immediately ahead, and a public footpath continuation to Mill Hill skirting round them.

Public footpath from Mill Hill to Mill Road, Haverhill
This squeezes past the former premises on the left of a windmill here. The building on the left appears to be two cottages formerly in the mill yard. The windmill is now reduced to a rather low brick base, unobtrusively (I missed it) forming an extension to a fairly modern bungalow on Mill Hill.
