The sign which was erected to celebrate the Queen’s silver jubilee, shows the parish church of St Peter and St Paul, on the left is the part of the façade of the Risbridge Union Workhouse from 1835-1929, which was renamed the Risbridge Poor Law Institution from, 1930-1947, and became the Risbridge Hospital from 1948-1973.
