Great Bradley: The Fox
As the name suggests, this was once a public house. The Grade II listed building is older than it looks. Nineteenth-century brick cladding cases a 17th-century timber frame.

Great Bradley village sign
Located on a dangerous bend on the A1061. An uncomplicated sign with the church of St. Mary and a fox peering out of the undergrowth. This replaces the earlier 1981 sign with was made of wood and featured similar content. https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/47846 https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6663336

Great Bradley village sign
Farm, The Fox public house, or even hiding from The Hunt, peering out of the undergrowth. This replaces the former sign, which depicted much more than the current sign. A windmill. The ancient oak tree located at the Fox Green end of Evergreen Lane, and believed to date from 1200s. The fox. The church. HRH The Prince of Wales's feathers, it was he who instigated the idea of village signs. Coat of arms of St John's College, who for centuries were extensive landowners in the parish. Finally, a Roman coin found in the village and now deposited with a local museum. https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6663338
