Denston St Nicholas? church
H. Munro Cautley was most impressed with this church, calling it ‘probably the most beautiful and interesting in the county.’ Who am I to disagree with the great man? It is everything he describes it as. There is a stoup on the outside wall, and a fan vaulted roof on the inside of the porch. Fine arcades line the aisle and chancel, terminating in the lovely east window. The clerestory is magnificent and lofty and the old rood beam still spans the width of the aisle. The church is aligned south east which in itself is quite uncommon.

Pond near Denston
There are Canada geese on it with young. Whilst the young look sweet, the geese appear to be taking over everywhere.
