Seat commemorating Hyperion
From the 1960s to the 1990s, a statue of the racehorse Hyperiod stood here. The statue was moved to the National Horse-racing Museum on Newmarket High Street and the pedestal was rearranged into this seat.

Hyperion's Statue, 1990
The statue of Hyperion, photographed in April 1990. A few years later it was moved to the National Horse-racing Museum on Newmarket's High Street. Following the statue's relocation in the early/mid 1990s, the pedestal on which the statue stood was converted into a seat.
