Old Milepost by the A1304 in Newmarket
Cast iron post by the A1304, in parish of Snailwell (East Cambridgeshire District), Bury Road, at junction with the B1506, opposite The Jockey Club Estates, Bury Side Depot, in hedge, on North side of road. Erected by the Bury St Edmunds & Newmarket turnpike trust in the 19th century. Possibly lost.

Metal plate attached to stone post by the A1304, in parish of NEWMARKET (FOREST HEATH District), The Limekilns, Bury Road (note this is actually in Snailwell Parish, Cambs), on deep verge, on East side of road. Ridley iron casting, erected by the Bury St Edmunds & Newmarket turnpike trust in the 19th century.

Single-track railway line, Newmarket
The railway from Cambridge and Newmarket Station emerges from the tunnel under Warren Hill, immediately after passing below the A1304 Bury Road. The line remains single-track as far as Chippenham Junction; thereafter it is double-track to Ipswich.
