New houses in Richard Foster Road
These residents have small gardens but at least they will for the time being enjoy the view across a rare expanse of open ground.

Richard Foster Road - another view
With virtually no gardens I wonder whether this will become a lively play area for kids, or the new families will move on once their babies grow up. This whole development will have a very interesting demographic profile in the future.

Some of the first new homes to be completed on the old government offices site. While I like some of the designs I find these chimneys a bit sinister.

New housing on former government site
Most of the places are now in place, just needs some focus for the community aside from playgrounds - shop? pub? church? AT present it almost has the feel of a 'dormitory village'.

Along Aberdeen Avenue
Land once occupied by offices of various Government departments became the Accordia housing development, which won many awards including the RIBA Stirling Prize in 2008 - see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accordia for more about it.
