Signpost near Bird's Pastures Farm
The bridleway to the left leads to Childerley, the one to the right to St Neots Road and on to Bourn. With the farmer's permission I was about to cycle along the private road and cut a chunk off my ride back to Cambridge. Honeyhill Wood is in the distance to the left.

Comma butterfly feeding on hedgerow bramble
By far the most numerous butterfly species along this lane was the Meadow Brown, however they were very flighty and this Comma (Polygonia c-album) was much more relaxed about having its photo taken.
