Barron's Way, Comberton
Part of a substantial 1970s housing development west of the old village centre. The village is now very much a dormitory suburb for Cambridge.

Comberton: West Street in autumn
The morning had been foggy, but the sun had broken through by the time I cycled back to Cambridge from the Gransdens. A number of the older houses in Comberton are Grade II listed.

Originally a single 17th century cottage, but with later extension it has been converted into three dwellings. Listed Grade II.

Thistle Down Cottage, West Street
Late 17th century hall and crosswing cottage, the crosswing being substantially the larger part of the house. Timber framed, rendered. Listed Grade II. The rendering is a relatively recent addition, the listing decryption referring to exposed timber framing, but in practice is likely to represent the original finish to the building.
