Toft: Methodist Chapel and War Memorials
Toft has only recently been added to the list of Thankful Villages which lost no one during The Great War. At the November 2018 Armistice service in Toft a Thankful Village Memorial was unveiled beneath the Second World War memorial by relatives of those who served in The Great War and a Thankful Village information board, with information about the seven men who enlisted and returned, was installed alongside.
Dave Thompson’s Image] (2015) shows the memorial before the Thankful Village plaque and information board were added. Image] was taken from another angle in 2020.
