On Cherry Hinton Road
A much-foreshortened zoom view of Sunday-afternoon traffic and several of the shops between Rock Road and Rathmore Road. Some of the turbines at Wadlow Wind Farm (seven miles or so away and completed in 2012) are a surprising addition to the skyline on clear days.

This is normally a very busy road at all times of day, but during the coronavirus pandemic the section between Rock Road and Hills Road was deserted at 4.20 on a weekday afternoon.

Cherry Hinton Road shop fronts
Seen from the drive serving the veterinary clinic on a cloudy March afternoon. All of these shops have changed hands in recent years and Dewhurst's butcher's shop is a distant memory.
