Clifton Road: delivery robot waiting to cross
This Meals on 6 Wheels autonomous delivery robot had just come along the path from Rustat Road, slowly pursued by a cyclist with an iPhone. I had snapped it on Rustat Road a minute or so before: Image A scheme set up by Cambridgeshire County Council and Starship Technologies, enabling customers to use an app to order from the Co-op, was piloted in Cambourne and the trial has just been extended to Cambridge.

A robot passing Regency Square
This safety-conscious Meals on 6 Wheels autonomous delivery robot stopped at each pavement edge or change of direction before moving on and was entertaining passers-by (who had just moved out of the picture). I snapped it again a minute or so later: Image A scheme set up by Cambridgeshire County Council and Starship Technologies, enabling customers to use an app to order from the Co-op, was piloted in Cambourne and the trial has recently been extended to Cambridge. (Nothing very Regency about Regency Square, some might think.)
