The Romsey R
The district developed after the coming of the railway and The Romsey R, at the corner of Mill Road and Cavendish Road, celebrates Romsey's railway heritage by listing significant journeys made by local residents. These include Cambridge to King's Cross and Hunstanton, Chingford to Cockfield, Madrid to Santander, Dar-es-Salaam to Mbeya and many others.

Cavendish Road: left-over Christmas lights
The white lights in the branches of the silver birches on the corner of Mill Road and Cavendish Road were still burning brightly on a drab late-January afternoon. The picture was taken across Mill Road from the corner of Stockwell Street.

Along Cavendish Road
The cyclists are waiting to cross Mill Road. The cranes - not in use on a Sunday morning - are on the Timber Works housing site on land between the railway and Cromwell Road which was once occupied by Rigeons.
