Holy Trinity, Littlebury, Essex
The parish church of Holy Trinity was built on the site of a Roman camp. The first record of it dates from 1163 and the church was considerably altered between 1870 and 1874. It houses a beautiful stone font with decorated oak canopy.

Holy Trinity church, Littlebury, Essex
The church stands at cross-roads and has a 14th century tower, Norman nave and 13th century aisles. The chancel was built in 1870-5. During the summer months, the church is well hidden by the trees.

Littlebury: towards the tunnel
A view from the Strethall Road bridge over the Cambridge to Liverpool Street main line. In the distance is the north portal of Littlebury Tunnel, one of two between here and the next station, Audley End. Scaffolding shows where new houses are being built on the land behind the bushes on the right.
