This is where the lane from Steventon End joins the Ashdon to Bartlow road. A fine August morning was turning cloudy and nearer Cambridge I cycled through a few drops of rain.

Ashdon: clapboard and thatch on Bartlow Road
"C17-C18 timber-framed buildings. No 4 is weatherboarded on the front and the cottage adjoining on the north is plastered" (Grade II listing). A fine August morning was clouding over.
