River Slade upstream of Hollyhock Road bridge
The river is frequently dry, but the wet weather of winter 2012-13 has maintained a steady flow. The white object in the river appears to be a butler-sink.

Saffron Walden - Queen Elizabeth Pub on Fairycroft Road
Took this picture because of the lovely portrait on the pub sign, plus it was my first experience with a 'free house' and I wanted to enquire as to what that meant. It turned out a lovely and interesting photo though, more than I expected, with the composition of sign, sky and palm tree on the roof.

Saffron Walden Police Station
Took this picture because it was such a beautiful building with a lovely design pattern in the bricks. It was just down the road from the British Boys School.
