Hinxton Village Sign

Hinxton: The Red Lion
This picture was taken towards the end of the second coronavirus pandemic lockdown of 2020 and the blackboard by the porch reads "Closed until 3rd of December. Click & collect menu offers: see website. Take away drinks 5.30 - 7.15. BYO vessel". The Red Lion dates from the 17th century or earlier and is Grade II listed.

The Red Lion, Hinxton
Looks more like a pink panther! C17 or earlier. Timber-framed and plastered with painted and plastered brick plinth. C19 flint with gault brick dressings. Plain tiled roofs.
