Saffron Walden Maze Festival
As part of the celebrations people were invited to produce a piece of knitting, about 20 cm wide. All the pieces were joined together to make a piece one mile long to cover the path of the maze.

Details about the Maze
This sign gives further information. Saffron Walden is believed to be the only town in England with two public mazes. The other is a yew hedge maze in Bridge Gardens.
