Saffron Walden: burglar alarm and pargetting, Market Street
Two things very characteristic of the town combine here: the saffron crocus that gives the town its name, used as an emblem on the burglar alarm, and the patterned plasterwork or pargetting that is common on buildings in the town and surrounding area.
