'This monument is in the care .... '
An old Ministry of Works sign that is being blatantly disregarded by the owner/occupant of Image next door judging by the detritus flung over the fence.

The old Vicarage at Gilsland
The building is just as ramshackle and scruffy as three years ago Image The surrounding land is unkempt and strewn with junk. I'll bet the neighbours love it! It certainly does not show Gilsland in a good light with the many visitors walking along the Hadrian's Wall Path.

The Old Vicarage
Still derelict. Such a shame with its close proximity to the Roman Wall which can be seen running between the two fences.
