1 to 4 Bank Court, 54 Main Street, Brampton
Grade II Listed four early 19th century houses, formerly Carrick & Lee, Solicitors and bankers and three houses. Carrick & Lee who are listed as "attornies" in my directories in 1847 had no trading name for their bank that is listed as a bank by my 1858 directory. They were taken over by Carlisle City & District Bank in 1872 who probably had 4 Market Place built soon after to replace this as a bank and possibly also to be used as Carrick & Lee's offices. Carrick & Lee, Solicitors are listed in Main Street by my 1894 directory where James Lee is listed as coroner for East Cumberland among a number of other posts.

Bank House, 58 Main Street, Brampton
Along with 56, 58 is Grade II Listed as a late 18th century house. It is four bedroom, about 1,737.2 sq ft (161.4 sq m). Strangely there is an approved planning application in 1996-7 to re-open an internal door between 58 and 60. There was an application in 1988 for "Internal and external repairs and alterations" but I have no other details.

The Scotch Arms, Main Street, Brampton
The English Heritage listing details suggests that it was probably originally a house. It was built in the early 18C. The doorway has a flattened elliptical hood supported by console brackets, with reeded pilaster strips and decorated capitals. The extension to the left includes the entrance to the former stables.

1 to 3 Mark Terrace, Main Street, Brampton
Row of three Grade II Listed early 19th century houses. No.3 seems to have been split in 1990 into 2 flats, 3a and 3b. Nos.1 and 2 had the Upvc windows (and no.2's door) replaced with timber in keeping with the originals in 2022.

Community Centre off Union Lane, Brampton
The mosaic in the foreground is unfortunately disintegrating. The seat on right is what is known as a 'sociable'; two seats facing opposite directions but linked together.
