Late 17th or early 18th Century pub, which is Grade II listed. Although there is no record (that I can find) of the pub being closed during the years 1914-1918, it somehow escaped the clutches of the State Management Scheme - the inconsistencies of the scheme can at times be a source of immense frustration and puzzlement.
