The Letters Inn, Aspatria - May 2017 (1)
While there was a building on this site in 1883, it is not shown as a pub on either the 1883 or 1901 OS Maps. Originally known as The Vaults Inn, it appears to have changed its name in the 1940s after purchase by a Sam Arnott from the then owner Jane Elizabeth Moore. Omitted from the "State Management Scheme", it may not have been a pub circa 1916, but on-line information is sparse and what details I have come from "Old Aspatria" by Trevor Grahamslaw (Stenlake Publishing Limited - undated). See also: Image] . Photograph is for record only - I have no connection with this business and cannot advise on its products or services.
