Aspen Tree
This solitary roadside tree comes into leaf in the springtime long after all the neighbouring trees, which by that time have full foliage. There are other aspens in the area, but none nearby.

Old Ash Tree near Park View
At one time part of a field hedge, this isolated remnant tree is of considerable age having been cut back many times. In its fight for survival its stems are growing from the rim of an old hollow stump. The field has been recently cut for sileage.
