Drovers Rest, Monkhill, Carlisle - March 2017 (1)
Early 19th Century public house, now Grade II listed. Purchased by the State Management Scheme in March 1917 and sold back to the private sector in 1973 for £5,500. Has had periods of closure, but is currently trading and the winner of many "good pub" awards.
