Post Office on Lowther Street
The main Post Office in Whitehaven, erected in 1897 near the top of Lowther Street, is set back and between the HSBC and NatWest Banks. An inscription on the NatWest building (centre frame) shows this was originally the "Bank of Whitehaven Ltd". The tower in the background belongs to the former Methodist Church, now closed and up for sale.
