Beech hedge outside #483 Durdar Road
There is a rock in the hedge at its left hand edge on which Ordnance Survey records indicate that a rivet benchmark levelled at 70.519m above Newlyn Datum was verified in 1972

Back of the Harry Redfern designed Black Lion pub. Records indicate that when the State Management Scheme bought the land, they informed HM Treasury there was enough space for a bowling green (an SMS favourite pastime for the working man), but it appears this was not built.
