Minor road at Streetside
The minor road that runs along the hillside above the A683 follows a band of limestone almost all the way. Ahead can be seen the limestone pavement that covers much of Fell End Clouds.

A big geological step
The view over Foggy Hill farm towards Cautley Crag. Between the two is the hidden River Rawthey along a fault guided valley. This side is Pennine with drystone walls of local Carboniferous limestone, whilst across the valley are the Howgills made of Silurian sandstones and shales, and some 100 million years older than the rocks on this side of the valley.
