Facilities at Burrells junction
The side road is actually off to the right, but the presence of the junction has attracted street furniture including a former phone box (now housing a defibrillator), telephone post, lamp post, litter bin, community notice board and wooden bench.

Uses for an old telephone box at Burrells
It is not just the classic K6 ("Jubilee") telephone boxes designed by Giles Gilbert Scott which have been recycled for alternative uses when it has become no longer economic to maintain them as telephone boxes. Here is an example of a KX100 box which was first introduced in 1982 and which is now seeing service to house a defibrillator.

Noticeboard and bench beside main road through Burrells
The notice board is for Bandleyside Parish and the bench was installed in July 2004 replacing one donated by the Parish for the coronation of Elizabeth II in 1953
