Bridge over Allonby Beck
Allonby Beck takes a slightly curious route, flowing rather sluggishly parallel to the shore for some distance before finally entering the sea. The bridge carries the main street, the B5300, over the beck.

The building on the right, Globe Inn Cottage and Easdale Cottage, used to be the Globe Inn. An advert in the Carlisle Journal, 15 Feb 1861 and subsequently, offering its lease, described it as "that excellent and well-accustomed INN, with Stable, Barn, and all necessary Outbuildings attached, called the Globe Inn, in ALLONBY, most advantageously situated on the road leading to Wigton".

Pig in the Bath
This old barn houses a business dealing in antiques, collectables and furniture. It was closed, presumably for the bank holiday, so I was unable to investigate the more valuable items it presumably contains indoors.
