Pub Blown Up
The Ancient Mariner on Church Street blew up in the early hours of 17 March 2003. A fire followed the gas explosion and the pub was gone. The church immediately behind and above is St Michaels, gutted by fire in 1994, but now restored. An unfortunate site!
