Workington Central railway station (site), Cumbria
Opened in 1879 by the Cleator and Workington Junction Railway on the line from Cleator Moor to Siddick, this station closed to passengers in 1931. View north towards Siddick, also Seaton. The camera position would have been between the two railway lines. Two platforms ran on either side from around here right up to the bridge. There was a two storey brick building on the right hand platform, roughly where the red car is. The site is believed to have been cleared in the early 1980s.
