View eastward and upstream on the River Derwent, from near the former junction with the ex-LNWR Workington - Cockermouth - Penrith line at Brigham. The M&CR branch had been closed since 29/4/35 - for passengers since 1/9/21.

Former bridge abutment on the bank of the River Derwent
A former bridge abutment on the southern bank of the River Derwent. A long closed railway used a bridge here cross the river. The railway connected the line between Cockermouth and Workington and the line between Maryport and Aspatria via Dovenby and Dearham.
