Keswick Lodge
In the town centre of Keswick, at the junction of Main Street and Station Street, is Keswick lodge an 18th Century Coaching Inn steeped in history.

The Inn at Keswick
This 18th Century building was formerly part of the Royal Oak Hotel, which had an impressive ballroom that attracted the rich and famous from miles around. During the 19th century the building became home to the Keswick Lodge, and in October 2011 it was renamed The Inn at Keswick when it became part of Thwaites Inns.

Main Street, Keswick
Part of the pedestrianised town centre, Main Street leaves the south-east corner of The Market Place.
This is the route of The Cumbria Way long distance path from Ulverston to Carlisle (next photograph Image).
Note the road sign on a partly concealed post to reduce street clutter.
