Duck and ducklings, Crosby Ravensworth
This mallard has at least seven ducklings but there may have been more scurrying around nearby. A thunderstorm had just moved on and the bright sun was in her eyes so I was able to approach quite closely without agitating them too much.

Jennywell House and barn, Crosby Ravensworth
Listed grade II (list entry 1145445) where the building is dated to 1784 but the gothic additions are from the 19th century. The eponymous well is shown on old maps in a field behind the house.
