Old houses in Askham
Askham is typical of many villages in the Eden Valley with old houses spread around a large green - see also https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5897024 This house very conveniently has its date of 1674 over the door. Many houses have the large entrance gates seen on the left which were designed for carriages.
