Road across the green, Temple Sowerby
This road forms the spine of the village, and is quite narrow. The swings are made of timber rather than the brightly painted metal found in towns.

The second from the right is Rose Cottage, which is Grade II listed. There is a date 1723 on the original cross-passage, now the entrance to the next house. The three houses on the left feature in another photograph.

Houses facing the green, Temple Sowerby
These are all Grade II listed, as also are the walls, gates and railings. In the centre, Beech Cottage was probably built in the mid-18C. It has an incised stucco front. Beech House and adjoining stables are on the left, built of ashlar stone, with quoins at the corners, in the late 18C. It has a 19C openwork cast-iron porch. Sheriff House on the right is very similar.
