Adelaide Cottages, Belfast
The antitheses of the “typical” Belfast terrace exemplified by nearby Donnybrook Street Image, Adelaide Cottages, in Rathcool Street, seem to have been built at the end of the 19th century. They have a rural feel which is now (and probably even at the time of construction) out of place on the suburban Lisburn Road.

Brookland Street, Belfast
Short street running between the Lisburn Road and Great Northern Street in Belfast. This was taken to show the contrast between the lack of snow in greater Belfast and the accumulations on higher ground - the Black Mountain is in the background. It has been reported that there are drifts up to 18 feet deep in the Antrim hills http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-21917586 .

Gully grating, Belfast
Gully grating located on Great Northern Street in Belfast. Simply marked 'BCC' this almost certainly stands for Belfast City Corporation rather than Belfast City Council.

Entry between Brookland Street and Rathcool Street, Belfast
Typical entry running between the two terraces off Great Northern Street. This example is neat and tidy - some in Belfast are left in terrible conditions.
