Richmond Lodge School [1]
The origins of Richmond Lodge lie in a school opened in 1879 by the Misses Hardy on the Stranmillis Road. It moved to this house on the Malone Road in 1913 and soon acquired full academic recognition. It initially accepted both girls and boys, but later changed to girls only. In 1987 Richmond Lodge amalgamated with nearby Victoria College. The new school (known only as Victoria College) currently uses the old Richmond school as well as the newer school nearby and is split between the two campuses - there are currently plans to build a new campus on the Victoria site.
