Fire hydrant cover located on the Malone Road in Belfast. This is another design from the foundry of Glenfield and Kennedy, Kilmarnock. I would speculate that the number 4 on the cover serves the same (unknown) purpose as the numbers on covers marked Belfast Water Works such as Image

What was once a very pleasant road is now in the heart of 'studentland' with many houses converted to 'multiple occupancy'. It also seems to be used a carpark for students and workers from nearby offices judging by the amount of cars.
