NIES access cover, Belfast
At the Malone Road end of the Stranmillis Road. NIES meaning “Northern Ireland Electricity Service” – the publicly-owned generator and supplier of electricity in NI between 1973 and 1991. It was incorporated in 1991, the power stations were sold in 1992 and the distribution system in 1993. See also Image

Broomhill Park sign, Belfast
Broomhill Park runs off the southern side of the Stranmillis Road, along three sides of a rectangle. This tiled sign, mounted on what is probably the original post, is at the western end.

"Beaumont" gate lodge, Belfast
“Beaumont” was a house on the Malone Road built in 1862 for a businessman in the licensed trade. The gate lodge seems to date from about 1880 - architect(s) unknown. The house has gone but the lodge survives in commercial use.
