Religious icon in a farmhouse garden on the A43
Generally in The North religiously inspired signs along the roads are of the "Prepare to Meet Thy God" and "Ye Must be Born Again" variety. Here, in the solidly Catholic area around Newtownbutler, the type of roadside iconography found in the South predominates. This icon is associated with the visions of the Polish nun Sister Faustina (born Helena Kowalska), a mystic and visionary.
