O'Kane and Culmore, Omagh
The entrance feature is reminiscent of the last train, which left Omagh for Bundoran in September 1957. This is reflected by the number 203 which was, in fact, the last train to use the line. The stone and steel feature, representing a train emerging from a tunnel, is sited adjacent to, and was inspired by, the original Great Northern Railway's Omagh to Bundoran Line. In deciding what style to create for the entrance feature, members of the residents association felt that it was important that Omagh people should not let the history of the railway diminish. It is hoped that this feature will inspire the older generation to relate the story of the railway to the younger people of the town. Sadly now, nothing remains to indicate that the station existed, although there is memorial to the rail disaster located closer towards the town. Image]

This section of the Old Dromore Road from Coolnagard Lane remains untouched and there is a turn-off to Lough Muck. It re-joins the new section of the Dromore Road further on.
