Funeral Home, Newtownstewart
This was the old Methodist Church dating from the 1800's. This was from the time that Primitive Methodists worshipped here, but later returned to the main-stay group.

Stone, Newtownstewart
It is embedded in the front boundary of the former Methodist Church and is so well weathered that it is difficult to read
However a local man has confirmed that it was an old milestone that dates from the coaching era. It originally stood on the kerb and was repositioned some time in the 1940s to its present location, presumably to offer more protection from traffic.
Londonderry is just about visible as is the number 19 which is the distance in Irish miles to the city. A benchmark denoted by the "crow's foot" is included at the bottom of the stone.
